Akshay Azad Jammu, Dec 11: The wait and anxiety of 1,90,229 aspiring candidates, who have taken the exams for 1200 vacant posts in various departments, will end soon as the recruiting agency J&K Service Selection Board, is likely to announce results shortly. Sources in SSB informed Early Times that the evaluation of the OMR sheets has almost completed and the result would be announced before 20th of December. They further said that presently the SSB authorities had been working to do away with technical difficulties, so that there would be no judicial complication after declaration of results. "The evaluation of OMR sheets has been done by SSB authorities from outside the state to ensure transparency", an official seeking anonymity said. Pertinently, 1,90,229 job aspirants had appeared in the written examination, which was conducted by JKSSB for 1200 posts including Teachers, Laboratory Assistants, Forest guards and Account assistants, across the state in the month of September. As per official sources, 78 percent of the candidates, who had applied for various posts, had appeared in the screening test conducted at 650 different centers across the state on September 17, 2013. As per criteria finalized by Board, for the posts of teachers, 65 points have been allotted for the written test while 15 points have been allotted to higher qualifications and 20 points to personal interview. For all other posts, 80 points were allotted for the written test and 20 points for the interview have been allotted out of a total of 100 points. Under the 'New Recruitment Policy', for the first two years, the selected candidates would be eligible to draw an average of just Rs 3,000 and for next three years only Rs.5,550. After completion of five years, the selected candidates would be put in the regular pay bands. No pension benefits are now available to people selected for state government service under the new recruitment policy. |
