Sangh Parivar workers warns BJP leadership against imposing "outsiders" as LS candidates | Refuge to work for non-RSS background candidates | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 24: Although some Central BJP leaders have been trying to manage mandate for their blue-eyed boys for two Lok Sabha segments of Jammu province, workers belong to different organisations of Sangh Parivar refused to work for any outsider in the coming Parliamentary elections. Workers made it clear to their leadership that only candidates having RSS background would be acceptable to them. Credible sources said that a meeting of prominent workers of all organisations of Sangh Parivar was held on Sunday at Shakti Bhawan to chalk out strategy for the coming Lok Sabha elections. During the meeting jobs were assigned to the workers to ensure maximum participation in the Lok Sabha elections. "When senior leaders were assigning jobs to the cadre, some workers stood up and asked their leaders to disclose names of party candidates", sources said and added that those who were convening the meeting expressed their helpless to disclose names of party candidates. Sources said that some workers sought to drew attention of leaders towards reports that some Central leaders of BJP have been trying to manage mandate for their blue-eyed boys in the coming Lok Sabha elections. They said that keeping in view the strong wave in favour of BJP, everyone is trying to get mandate of party. "Instead of encouraging dedicated workers with RSS background, some Central leaders are projecting some outsiders to strengthen their own lobbies", sources, quoting some workers said and added that Sangh Parivar made it clear in the meeting that they would not work in the Parliament elections if any outsider was imposed on them. They reminded the leadership that in 2009 Lok Sabha elections, BJP leadership had deliberately fielded Leela Karan Sharma and later worked overtime to ensure his defeat. Important to mention here that some BJP leaders have been projecting those leaders who do not have RSS background. Even some leaders who have joined BJP after serving a tenure in National Conference are also staking claims on party mandate. Some outsider leaders, who have managed closeness with some Central leadership, are also projecting themselves as serious candidates. |
