SAMBA, Jan 11: Governor N N Vohra on Sunday visited relief camps in Samba and Hiranagar established for border migrants who have been severely hit by the Pakistan shelling from across the border. Governor has directed authorities to provide all possible help to people, who have been displaced from hamlets along the International Border in Samba and Hiranagar.
He interacted with the inmates of the camp and asked about the quality and nature of services being provided to them. The Governor while expressing solidarity with them at this hour of crisis expressed deep grief for loss of innocent human lives and property in the shelling from across the border Governor gave instructions to District authorities to ensure foolproof arrangements in the relief camp for free medical facilities, food, drinking water, electricity, transportation etc for the migrated families. |
