Jammu, Jan 11: In utter disregard of the recommendations of the empowered committees on regularization of services of non-gazzeted and forth class employees, the authorities of University of Jammu have conducted interviews for the post of Junior Assistants depriving class employees. Sources informed Early Times that interviews for the post of Junior Assistant were conducted by the authorities on January 10, 2015. "The empowered committee was constituted to regularize the services of daily wagers as helpers, who had completed seven years of their services. Meanwhile, the cases of contractual employees were also added in the process following the pressure of section of employees", sources said, adding that the committee held its meeting in August 2014. "Headed by the then vice chancellor, University of Jammu, the committee comprised of Prof Desh Bandu, Director CODES and Deputy Secretary GAD. The committee held meetings on August 18 and 19 and observed essential eligibility for regularization", sources said. Surprised over JU's decision to conducted interviews for the post of Junior Assistants only, a member of empowered committee, seeking anonymity told Early Times that the committee had recommended regularization of the service of those who met criteria fixed for regularization. "Interviews held on January 10 may be under special provision, as the committee has given its recommendations without categorizing the employees", he said hinting at vested interested . The sources further revealed that the Head of Department, MCA University of Jammu Prof Vibhakar Mansotra was convener for the test heldon Saturday. "Due to known reasons, Prof Vibhakar Mansotra was given additional charge of director IT, few days back", sources said, alleging that the JU authorities have given additional benefits to Prof Mansotra seeking adjustment of blue eyed. However, Prof Manoj Dhar, Registrar University of did not pick the call, despite repeated attempt made by this correspondent. |
