DIC Doda organizes Cultural Programme in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, Jan 11: To promote Cultural activities in educational institutions in the region, a colorful cultural programme was organized by District Information Centre Doda in Government Higher Secondary Schools (Girls) Bhaderwah during the Capacity Building Training Programme of teachers being conducted by District Institute of Education and Trainings Doda under SSA.
Zonal Education Officer Bhaderwah Ram Parshad Padha was the chief guest on the occasion, besides District Information Officer Doda Anoop Kumar, DIET faculty members, Zonal Resource Personals, Cluster Resource Personals and Teachers were present on the occasion.
Artists from District Information Centre Doda gave a mesmerizing presentation of rural folk music and songs which kept the audience spell bound.
The main attraction of the cultural programme was the jugalbandi of Violinist ( Cultural Assistant ) Mr. Vikram Charbathia and Tabla Player (Cultural Assistant) Mr. Rajid Manzoor which was highly appreciated by one and all, besides chief guest lauded their artistic presentation.
Artists presented their songs in Bhaderwahi, Siraji, Urdu, Kashmiri and Dogri. The artists who participated in the Cultural programme include Vikram Charbathia (Violinist DIC Doda), Rajid Manzoor Dand (Tabla Player DIC Doda) Abid Bhaderwahi, Sajjad, Mir Bhaderwahi, Janzaib Aalam and Riyaz besides other artists also presented their songs and exhibited the rich cultural diversity of the region.
Addressing the teachers and other faculty members on the occasion ZEO Bhaderwah said that there is need to preserve and enrich the rich cultural heritage of the region for which the schools are the best place to make aware the students about the cultural activities. He said the motive behind organizing the Cultural Programme during Capacity Building Programme of Teachers is to make teaching community aware about the importance of academic excellence and cultural activities also. He said the cultural activities should be included in the Co-Curricular activities calendar of the schools. He lauded the effort and initiative of the Information Department for organizing such a programme.
DIO Doda Anoop Kumar also addressed the teaching fraternity on the occasion and said that Information Department always provides a platform to the budding artists to showcase their talent and said that teacher is the best judge of the student and a teacher always knows the ability and deficiency of his/ her student. He said there is need to facilitate the talent of students in the region so that they come up with flying colors in each and every sphere of life. During the Capacity Building Teachers Training Programme, 114 teachers from 107 schools are being trained by 10 resource persons of the DIET.
