Omar's offer of support to PDP is disrespect of Jammu : MPEJ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 14: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah instead of accepting defeat in recent state assembly elections seems intended to expel his hidden narrow mindedness while offering government formation support to PDP, observed the Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice (MPEJ). It is certainly a disrespect of Jammu sentiments rather than his political gimmick, it added. Though it was an impact of PM Modi's election campaign but the recent effective tilt in favor of BJP in Jammu province also must be seen as an outcome of an ugly failure of Omar led outgoing corrupt coalition government, Movement expressed. Despite a fractured mandate and political differences, PDP & BJP must go for an alliance towards formation of new state government which of course will help in defusing the doubts and fear of people in two regions, it added. Much needed reconciliation within the regions of state must be seen as an achievement for a better future irrespective of petty political gains, Movement urged. National Conference succeeded in snatching two assembly segments from BJP in Jammu which is a boost to the communal harmony as well as a liberal tribute to the democratic values of the state but at the same time Omar as chief of the party badly failed to maintain it, Movement alleged. |
