| Army, MVD organize free medical camp for drivers | | |  Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Jan 14: As a part of ongoing road safety week, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in collaboration with 8 Rashtriya Rifles and District Hospital Kishtwar organized a free medical camp at Bus Stand Kishtwar.
The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan wherein doctors from Army along with Health Department carried out medical checkup of local drivers and conductors and provide free medicines to them.
The eye sight check up of local drivers was also carried out. The aim of this medical camp was to spread awareness among drivers about personal health and hygiene along with medical checkup. This event received an overwhelming response with over 150 drivers and conductors participating in the Medical camp. Deputy Commissioner appreciated this joint venture of army and Motor vehicle department and said that such medical camps will certainly bring awareness in local drivers about their health and hygiene and will be handy in long run for road safety.
Dy. SP Traffic Rafi Giri also attended the camp and distributed necessary material among the drivers and locals regarding various safety measures need to be taken during journey and also to prevent the accidents.
