Kaith Biradari holds socio-religious function | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 14: Jammu Jammu and Kashmir Kaith Biradari organized a grand function at Langotian wherein the community members paid obeisance to their ancestral deity Sankri Devta and sought his blessings for the welfare of their families. Speaking on the occasion, Biradari Head G.R.Kaith said that Sankri Devta is an important deity who is worshipped at various places in Jammu once or twice a year with a belief that he will protect the Kaith families from odds. During the proceedings Dr Ramesh Kumar Kaith felicitated the students who attained positions and distinctions in Board Examinations and impressed the gathering that the children must be provided opportunities to excel in academic, technical and sports activities. R L Kaith appealed the Biradari members to eradicate social evils prevalent in the Biradari which have resulted in weakening it and creating a sense of inferiority complex and inadequacy in its members. The function concluded with community kitchen - the Bhandara. Among others who participated in the function included Dr Ravi Kumar Kaith, Er Darshan Kumar Kaith, Capt Girdhari Lal Kaith, Capt Ramesh Chander Kaith, Sub Tarsem Lal Kaith, Hav Des Raj Kaith, Ex-Bank Manager Ramesh Kumar Kaith and others. |
