Katra, Jan 14: On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) organised a Yagya for peace and prosperity at Maha Lakshmi Temple in the Trikuta Bhawan Complex at Katra today.
Organised under the supervision of Dr Mandeep K Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, the day-long Havan-Yagya commenced amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras this morning the auspicious occasion concluded with Purna Ahuti this afternoon.
Dr M K Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB, Dr Gopal Sharma, DDM, Sudesh Sharma, Deputy Manager, Trikuta Bhawan, other officers and employees of the Shrine Board besides a large number of pilgrims participated in the Yagya and Purna Ahuti.
At the culmination of the Havan-Yagya, Prasad was distributed among the pilgrims and all those present on the occasion.
