MENDHAR, Jan 14: Three youth, who were alleged to be accused in the gangrape of a minor girl and had been absconding for the past six months, were apprehended by police here today. Police sources identified the accused as Shehzad Ahmad of Salwa, Murtaza Ali of Thera Topa and Sarfraz Ahmad of Sakhi Maidan. Soon after the commission of the crime on July 14 last year, all of them had gone underground. They were taken into custody by police from their hideout today, the sources added. A case stands registered against them at Mendhar police station under sections 366, 109 and 376 of RPC. |
