Mufti should go ahead for 'alliance' with NC, Cong, Independents, not BJP: Sikh organizations | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: In an emergency meeting of various Sikh organization J&K was held under the Chairmanship of S Mohinder Singh, Chief organizer, Bhai Kanahiya Jee Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex-member DGPC Jammu with a Joint meeting with Sikh United Front, All India Students Sikh Federation, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Welfare Society, Ex-member DGPC Jammu today said that PDP under the Chairmanship of Mufti Mohd Sayeed should make alliance with NC, Congress, Independents as this will provide a sound and secular Government, otherwise they (PDP) shall have to responsible to people of Kashmir in case they form the Government with BJP. During the meeting the representatives mentioned that since the results of Elections of Assembly for formation of Government in J&K State were announced on 23rd of December 2014, wherein PDP got 28 seats, thus the people of Kashmir had made the party as single largest party under the Chief Patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed for forming a secular Party in J&K State as the leaders in Kashmir do not want a Government with BJP. Members in this meeting were also in all praise for the Ex-Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who on 08/01/2015 wrote to the Governor N N Vohra by giving PDP an unconditional support to PDP, with 15 MLAs of National conference besides Independents also, who also wish that there should be a Secular Government formation in J&K State, besides Ghulam Nabi Azad whose party had won 12 seats had also conveyed to Mufti Mohd Sayeed for formation of a secular government in J&K State. They also observed that if PDP wants to get BJP support for formation of Government in J&K State, then they are totally mistaken as the government so formed with BJP support shall not run for a long time because of communal harmony in state. Speakers also expressed that PDP under the Chairmanship of Mufti Mohd Sayeed should make 'grand alliance' with NC, Congress and Independents and the alliance government formed with would be a sound and secular Government, otherwise they shall have to responsible to people of Kashmir in case they form the Government with BJP. They alleged BJP yet has not so far extended any support either to flood victims of which Rs44.000 crores demanded by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah nor they are looking after the Border people who are suffering from regular firing from other side of LoC. Members in this meeting also said in case they (PDP +others- Grand alliance ) do not want to form a government they should also ask the Governor to make fresh elections like Delhi. "All the member/MLAs should approach the Governor so as to refresh elections on the pattern of Delhi, as elections are being made there again which is very important at this stage that all parties should approach the Governor collectively for fresh elections on the pattern, they said. Among others present in this meeting included S Avtar Singh Khalsa, S Ramnik Singh Bijral, S Kulwant Singh, S Gajjan Singh, S Manmohan Singh, S Surjit Singh Kuku, S Harpal Singh Prince, S Gurdev Singh, S Harbans Singh, S Gurjeet Singh Honey, S Parveen Singh, S Tej Pal Singh, S Rajinder Singh, S Davinder Singh, S Kultar Singh and S Charanveer Singh Lad.
