| AJKLTF condemns revoking of attachment/deployments in Edu Deptt | | Comm Secy, Director Education stooges of Tara Chand: Convener | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: Alleging Tara Chand of creating mess in the education system of the state, All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKTF), called Commissioner Secretary Education Department and Director School Education as stooges of Tara Chand who are allegedly running a transfer Industry in the state.
Mukund Lal Sharma, Chief Patron of the Federation highly condemned the revoking of attachments/deployments of teaching staff in Education department vide Government order number 08 of Education of 2015 dated 15-01-2015 during a meeting held here at Press Club Jammu on January 18, 2015.
Others who were present in the meeting were Bhushan Verma, Chairman, Mohan Singh, President and Maheshwar Parsad, convener of the federation.
The federation members alleged that Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand who was Education Minister of the state ran transfer industry in the state and transferred large number of lecturers, masters and teachers violating norms. With this, he said prized postings were given to number of teaching staff members during the tenure of Tara Chand.
He further said that teachers/Masters/lecturers were transferred freely from other districts to Jammu, Samba, Kathua and other districts and were adjusted on the posts of teaching staff already working in these districts who were directed to report the respective CEOs.
Taking further dig at Tara Chand, they said that the teaching staffs who have served in other districts on promotion repatriated to their parent districts were attached in their respective CEOs for further adjustment by adopting bungling policy. Officials at the helm of the affairs didn't spare handicapped teaching staff even as non residents were adjusted on their posts and these handicapped were asked to report to respective CEO for further adjustment.
They said that keeping in view the peak season of studies in the institutions this order disturbing thousands of teachers/masters/lecturers needs to be revoked immediately.
Meanwhile convener Maheshwar Prasad called Commissioner Secretary Education Department Nirmal Sharma and Director Education RA Inqlabi as stooges of the former Education Minsiter Tara Cahnd as no heed is being paid to the problems faced by the teaching community sans salary for the last some months. He made a fervent appeal to the Governor N N Vohra for immediate suspension of these alleged stooges who are working against the interest of teaching as well as students community.
