Governor's prompt initiative to restore faith of masses | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: While loudly welcoming the state Governor's fresh initiative to seek list of corrupt officers within 15 days, People's Action & Public Accountability (PAPA) termed it as a prompt action towards restoration of public's faith. It is unfortunate enough when outgoing elected political regime instead of safeguarding the public interest just proved defunct and promoted corrupt practice all around while providing key postings to the most brutal and corrupt faces of state administration, it added. It was a height of day light loot when almost all the ministers of the outgoing coalition government just dubbed the state as a "Neelaam Ghar", PAPA alleged. Immediately after taking oath as CM, Omar Abdullah had announced that "Teeth will be provided to the State accountability Commission soon" but nobody knows even as on date about the name of dental clinic to which the order for teeth was placed by him, it further alleged. State as a whole faced a most dark period during last six years where a common man was totally helpless, it added. General administration department is one of the important wings of the state government but that too was made defunct during last six years, PAPA alleged. GAD deliberately avoided DOB information related to some most corrupt and suspicious faces of administration demanded through RTI applications, it added. How this department responds to the Governor's fresh sensitive initiative is to be noted? PAPA expressed. We shall urge for seeking information through other means too, it added.
