USTA expresses concern over transfers in School Education Department | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (USTA) today held meeting under the chairmanship of Hari Singh in which they expressed its grave concern over the state affairs as far as transfers in School Education Department are concerned, cancellation or non cancellation of deployments/ attachments is immaterial and entire transfer policy needed to be rationalized and strict implementation of transfer norms is only the solution. According to press release, Association rues that since last four years entire system of transfer, postings and promotions stands derailed and has made and given rise to large scale corruption and nepotism. They made plea to governor administration to pinpoint the responsibility for this devastation of norms and put on trial the persons responsible irrespective of their stature. During the meeting they further expresses its anguishes over non release of salary in favour of teachers working under SSA and RMSA as well as Masters/ Lecturers repatriated from Reasi, Doda, Leh and Kargil who are not posted against clear vacancies and without salary for the last five months. Rajiv Kumar, Dr. Shahsi Pal, Zulfkar Ali Malik, Pradeep Singh, Darshan Lal, Raj Kumar, Kishori Lal, Madan Singh, Shanti Saroop, Surinder Singh, Roop Lal and Sham Lal were also present on the occasion.
