| GMC Jammu awards 67 candidates with MBBS degrees | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 20: Government Medical College Jammu organized 2nd convocation programme and 67 candidates got their degrees of MBBS in the University who passed out MBBS and internship in the year 2013-14 on Tuesday.
The event was organized by committee of organized as heads of committee constituted by Principal of GMC Jammu under his supervision Dr Bella Mahajan was coordinator of the committee. Whereas, Dr Bhupesh Khajuria as nodal officer of Media and publicity wing.
On the occasion, the pledge of 'Hippocratic Oath' was administered to all the graduates admitted to the degree of MBBS for practice of medical profession. The academic procession including HODs of all departments of the hospital proceeded towards to the auditorium as per Jammu University protocol. The registrar after obtaining the consent of the Vice Chancellor RD Sharma declared the convocation opens.
The VC admitted 67 candidates to degree of MBBS and total 6 medals were given to the toppers.
Aakanksha Mahajan was awarded 4 gold medals for the overall Ist position, Dhani Ram Memerial gold, Annil Mahajan medal for topper in medicine, Sudha Sharma medal for topper in Gynae and Obstetrics, Manvi Verma was awarded silver medal for overall 2nd position and Rohini Jaggi was awarded 3rd position.
The Principal Dean GMC reviewed the report of the work of the college during the previous 4 years. |
