3.7 lakh children deprived of education in J&K: AISF 1/21/2015 12:32:51 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 20: Expressing concerns over the children deprived from education in state, the President All India Students Federation (AISF) J&K today stated that atleast 3.7 lakh children are still deprived of the basic education in Jammu and Kashmir. During a meeting held here in Jammu, Comrade Mukesh Parihar said that out of 3.7 lakh 24,879 are mentally disabled. "According to Article 29 & 30 Government and local authorities shall establish school to give compulsory education to each and every child of age 6-14 years but they are still deprived" Parihar stated Citing poor education scenario in the state, Parihar said that only 5 schools have been established so far and wherein merely 150 students have been enrolled till now.
