Power crisis in Jammu has reached a critical stage: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 20: BJP State General Secretary & MLA from Gandhi Nagar constituency while reacting to power crisis in Jammu region maintained that Power crisis in Jammu has reached a critical stage. While addressing transformer repairing workshop at Miran Sahib, Jammu, MLA Kavinder Gupta issued instructions to the concerned for taking early measures to restore burnt transformers and increasing quantum of electricity to the people so that they get immediate relief. He asked the authorities to remain responsive to the complaints of the people whenever their attention is called through a telephone call. Gupta expressed concerns over areas which are fully metered find no concession as was formally announced by the PDD. Gupta also expressed serious concern over poor infrastructure and lack of skilled labour at workshop with over burden of five constituencies. "There are almost 4000 transformers in these five constituencies and round about 2500 transformers in alone Gandhi Nagar constituency and the burden of repairing is being catered by this workshop, he said. He assured the people of his constituency to have independent workshop for Gandhi Nagar constituency to deal with power crisis. He also promised to take over the matter with union Govt for having own equipments and skilled labour for PDD to manage and run the department. |
