DEA expresses resentment over recently declared lists of JE civil | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 19: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association Jammu the members expressed their strong resentment over the recently announced appointment list of Junior Engineers (Civil). According to press release a meeting of members DEA was held at its headquarter PHE Complex B C Road Jammu under the President Ship of Er Upinder Singh. The members expressed their strong resentment over the recently announced appointment list of Junior Engineers (Civil). While deliberating upon the meeting Er Upinder Singh condemned the selection criteria adopted for appointment by Service selection Board, where by only 35 Diploma Engineers have been selected against the 600 number of Degree holders, though as per the SRO 180 the selection criteria is 1:3 ( 1 Degree:3 Diploma). The criticized the Service selection Board for neglecting the Diploma Holders for the post of JE which is meant for diploma engineers, he said one fails to understand the policy of Government as a large number of Polytechnic colleges have been established at District level, on the other hand the diploma holders have been neglected despite of the fact that a maximum number of Diploma holders have qualified in the written test. He further requested his Excellency the Honorable Governor of J&K State N N Vohra to personally intervene in the matter as the Diploma holders belongs to poor and rural background and do Justice with them. |
