GEW JAC urges Governor to redress pending demands of Govt employees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 19: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee (GEW JAC) today urged Governor NN Vohra to redress pending demands of government employees, as the previous government has failed to fulfill the committed demands. According to press release, Babu Hussain Malik said that all representatives in one voice condemned the state government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees and the government few years back wherin it was promised to fulfill all the pending demands of the employees including removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by giving grade of Rs 4000 - Rs6000 to junior assistant and 4500-7000 to senior assistant and Rs 5500-Rs 9000 to head assistant, Regularization of daily wagers/ adhoc/ contractual employees and anganwari workers, release of pending DA, increase of medical allowance, dislocation allowance to all the officials and increase of wages of daily wagers and anganwari workers to Rs 300 per day. He further said that it was declared that before announcing the next agitation programme the governor of state will be apprised of the burning demands of the employees and it is appealed to governor that proper time may kindly be given to EJAC to discuss those demands to avoid confrontation between the employees and the state administration. |
