NMC seeks merger of 50 % DA into basic pay 2/22/2015 10:57:23 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 22 : National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today expressed his grave concern over inordinate delay in merger of 50 percent DA into basic pay and pension which forms part of the recommendations of the 4th Pay Commission implemented since January Ist 1986 has urged upon the Union Finance Minister to make announcement in this regard in the ensuing budget session of parliament starting tomorrow. Expressing deep concern over inordinate delay in regularization of 180 daily rated workers fall under SRO 64 working in the rural development department before March 1994 in Jammu region , NMC leader urged the Governor to personally intervene in to matter and issue necessary instructions to the concerned authorities for ordering their immediate regularization. Shastri pointed out that the planning department having sanctioned 180 posts way back in 2009 to regularized these daily rated workers of the rural development department of Jammu province who were engaged before 1994 and fall under SRO64, but despite the fact that file is still pending in the administrative department for their regularization since then for reason known to the higher authorities of the department. Pleading the cause of working class particularly the daily wagers Shastri called for their immediate regularization as they have high hopes from the Prime Minister and state Governor N.N.
