JK school team brings laurels at national level event | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 22: Centre for Environment Education (CEE) Ahmedabad jointly with Regional Institute of Education Ajmer, Rajasthan conducted national level competitions for Paryavaran Mitra Hand Print activities in schools under its five themes of Biodiversity conservation, Energy Conservation, Waste Management, Water Conservation and Culture & Natural Heritage conservation for three categories of Teachers, Students and Schools from January to February 2015. Schools from all states and Union territories participated in these competitions. Projects of 40 schools were shortlisted for final competitions which were held at Ajmer from 16th to 21st March 2015. From J&K state projects of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Udhampur and Government Higher Secondary School Purmandal were selected to participate in these competitions at Ajmer.Student's team of Government Higher Secondary School Purmandal was awarded first prize in slogan writing. The team after participating successfully at Ajmer Rajasthan in PM Handprint Mela has returned back bringing honor to the state and their respective schools. These teams have been given further projects on different environment issues in their areas to be completed in next six months. |
