| GDC Jindrah organises farewell for first outgoing batch of students | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 26: The first and the second year students of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah today organised a farewell for the first outgoing batch of B.A Part-III of the college.
The Principal of GDC Jindrah, Professor Tara Nath was the chief guest while the principal of Government Higher Secondary School Jindrah Sunil Nanda was the guest of honour. All the staff members of the college were also present at the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Tara Nath congratulated the students of the college on organising the first farewell party of the college and appreciated the cultural programmes presented by the students.
He also advised the outgoing students to remain honest, dedicated and hard working in order to succeed in their lives. He motivated them to work hard for the upcoming examinations and asked them to always respect their parents, teachers and elders while working hard for the betterment of the nation as well as society.
Sunil Nanda and Sunil Dutt Sharma lecturer in Dogri also addressed the students.
Earlier, the students of B.A Part-I and II presented a colourful cultural programme. The function was started by the lightning of the traditional lamp followed by various cultural items presented by the students.
The programme commenced by giving titles to the outgoing students of B.A-III. Vinay Kumar was chosen as 'Mr. Farewell' and Surabhi Jamwal as 'Miss farewell' 2015. The vote of thanks was presented by Palbi Kohli and Megha, both students of B.A Part-I. |
