Locals demand proper work in Head Post office 2/26/2015 11:21:45 PM Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 26: Public in general of District Udhampur is suffering badly due to poor performance of the Postal Staff in Head Post office Udhampur. People alleged that neither postal envelopes nor Kissan Vikas Patras are available, adding that during peak season sale of Vikas Patras, the general public need large scale bonds for tax savings but due to shortage they couldn't get it. Condition is so worse that even public is suffering badly for depositing their money either for recurring or other deposits. Public is also demanding for extra counters. It is worth wile to mention here that the staff of the post office leave their counters at 2 pm instead of 4pm scheduled time. Superintendent of Postal Department said that there is a shortage of staff up to 60% as per present requirement in view of over loading work. Moreover the existing staff is newly recruited and it will take time to become expert.
