| Samba mystery murder cracked : Conspirator among five held for 'planned murder' | | | early times report
Jammu, Feb 28: Police on late Saturday evening claimed to have solved a blind murder case wherein one Raj Kumar of Bari-Brahmna who was found slit throat some days ago, with the arrest of five accused persons. The accused have been identified namely as KewelKrishan, Shiv Kumar alias Shibbu, Varinder Singh alias Happy , Gagan Deep Singh and Surinder Sigh alias Shabu.
Addressing media persons Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Joginder Singh said, "The murder was well planned."
He said that police received information when one Rahul Kumar S/O Raj Kumar R/O BassiKhurd, Bari-Brahmna lodged a written report with P/S Bari-Brahmna alleging therein that on the night of 22/02/2015, his father had gone out for domestic work in village Bassi Khurd and did not turn back till late night.
SSP Samba said, "Following complaint, a case FIR No. 24/2015 u/s 302 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act was registered at P/S Bari-Brahmna and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to investigate the murder." "During investigations, the police team scrutinized the call details of the deceased and lifted one Kewel Krishan s/o Charan Dass r/o Rampura Gandhi Nagar Jammu and put him on sustained questioning, he said. Police officer said, "During questioning it came to fore that deceased and Kewel Krishan (Conspirator) were friends and were dealing in real estate for the last 08/09 years together." "About 03 years back, Kewel Krishan purchased 84 Marlas of land at Chak Chua Bishnah on the name of deceased but a dispute developed between the two over this property and the Conspirator Kewel Krishan claimed that the deceased cheated him and sold his land without his knowledge at the cost of about Rupees 15/16 lakhs, he said. "Kewel Krishan hatched the conspiracy to kill the deceased with the connivance of one Shiv Kumar alias Shibbu S/O Ram Singh R/O PalliMorh who happens to be the brother-in-law of deceased. Shiv Kumar alias Shibbu further conspired with one Gaggan Deep S/O SubhashChander R/O BassiKhurd Bari-Brahmna to execute the murder. Shiv Kumar and Gagan Deep further hired Varinder Singh alias Happy S/O Paramjeet Singh of BatalaGurdaspur Punjab, At present KothiMorh Bari-Brahmna and Sukhjinder Singh alias Shabba S/O Sandeep Singh R/O Govind Nagar Batala Gurdaspur Punjab, the cousin of Varinder Singh, to execute the murder," police official said. He said, "Kewel Krishan struck a final deal of Rs 2.5 lakh with Shiv Kumar alias Shibbu and gave Rs. 60,000/- in advance to Shiv Kumar about 15 days back. On the intervening night of 22/23, the accused Sukhjinder alias Shabba, Varinder Singh alias Happy and Shiv Kumar alias Shibbu intercepted the deceased when he was returning home and murdered the deceased by slitting his throat, police officer said adding, "Police have recovered mobile phone of deceased and dagger (weapon of offence). |
