Training on "Role of canines in Police working with reference to tracking' held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28 : Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur organ-iozed a training workshop on the theme of the training "Role of canines in Police working with special reference to tracking". Danesh Rana, IGP Director SKPA Udhampur attended the occasion as special invitee. Ankur Gupta who is expert in training canines and rescue for wilderness and contained areas, presently working with sheriff organization of USA, made his deliberation through a power point presentation and updated trainees regarding training the police dogs. He also described his services being rendered to California Police in various operations like tracing missing person, explosives and narcotics and highlighted the role of dogs in investigation of heinous crimes. During the session many queries, were raised by the officers and trainees including Director S. K. Police Academy Udhampur,. Director of the Academy requested the guest speaker to devise a module for SKPA Udhampur, so that trainers can deliver best for training the dogs deputed to this Academy for time to time. The Director SKPA Udhampur in his address appreciated the deliberations and presented a memento to the guest speaker as a token of respect. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Assistant Director (Adm) SSP besides other officers were also present on the occasion. |
