Shahnawaz Mir expresses concern over Budgam accident Demands compensation for victim families 3/22/2015 12:09:23 AM Jammu, Mar 21: Showing his deep concern over the bus accident which claimed three lives at Palpora Budgam on Friday, PDP youth leader and state In-charge of (PDSU) Shahnawaz Mir has expressed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families and demanded adequate compensation to be paid to the families of victims. In a statement issued here Shahnawaz Mir said that it is matter of concern for him and his party (PDP) that such a horrible accident has taken place which claimed several precious lives and left scores injured. Mir said that traffic department and regional transport authority need to take these accidents seriously so that a mechanism is devised to ensure safety of the commuters. Meanwhile Shahnawaz Mir took up this matter with R&B Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari who assured him of full support from the Government vis a vis reducing the road traffic accidents in state. Mir also held a meeting with Education Minister Naeem Akhtar and Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari and briefed them about the recent accidents that took place in Banihal and Palpora.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
