J&K Bank to again become state govt's banker | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 22 : Jammu and Kashmir today signalled to give up Ways and Means Advances (WMA) system arrangement with Reserve Bank of India and return to J&K Bank's Overdraft facility. This was indicated by Minister for Finance Haseeb Drabu while talking to reporters here today. He said that he would like to return to the arrangement with J&K Bank as soon as possible but added that it is not so easy. Taking a dig at National Conference (NC), Drabu said that he has been receiving a fax from Nagpur everyday at 5 PM since the day he assumed office. "I get a fax daily from Nagpur wherein I am told what to do and what not to do? But unfortunately, the fax has been coming from Expenditure Monitoring Unit of Reserve Bank of India and not what is being said," said Drabu. This has been going on since the year 2011. |
