| Seven day workshop on research methodology concludes at JU | | | Early Times Report
Jammu,Mar 22: The Department of Hindi organized Seven Days Workshop on Research Methodology from March 16-22, 2015. Total 53 scholars and faculty members from different Languages' Departments participated in the workshop.
On 16 March, inaugral session was presided over by Dean Academic
Affairs and Senior-most Professor of Hindi, Dr Neelam Saraf. The Keynote Speaker on the occasion was Dean Faculty of Arts Professor Ramnika Jalali. Professor Parmeshwari Sharma, Head of the Hindi Department and Workshop Convener welcomed the guests and participants.
The vote of thanks was given by Professor Parvinder Kaur, the Workshop Co-convener. The stage coordinator of the function was Dr Rajni Bala.
Total twenty technical sessions relating to hypotheses, review of literature, synopsis preparation, plagiarism, relevance of socio-culture and aestheticism, stress etc. were held. Prof Vinod Taneja, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Prof Ram Sajjan Pandey, MDU, Rohtak, Prof Ramnika Jalali, Dean Faculty of Arts, Prof Rekha Chowdhary, Ex Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu, Prof Deepshika Kotwal, Prof V Labh, Professor Jasbir Singh, Professor Abha Chowhan, Prof Arti Bakshi and Professor Satnam Kaur were the main resource persons in the workshop.
The valedictory function was held on March 22, 2015.
The session was chaired by esteemed Vice - Chancellor of University of Jammu, Prof R D Sharma. In his presidential address, Professor Sharma remarked on the inculcation of values in the individuals for pursuing quality research and also stressed that efforts should be made to make the research recognized at national and international levels. A detailed workshop report was presented by Dr RajniBala. Dr Sadaf Shah on behalf of participants shared her views on the functioning of the workshop.
Dr Neelam Saraf Dean Academic Affairs and Senior-most Professor of Hindi congratulated Professor Parmeshwari Sharma, and the Department for organizing such kind of workshop. Professor Parmeshwari Sharma, welcomed the guests and participants while vote of thanks was given by Dr OPN Dwivedi. The stage coordinator of the function was Professor Parvinder Kaur.
