J&K Assembly passes resolution against Pakistan over terror attacks | | | Early Times Reeport
Jammu, Mar 22 : Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today passed a resolution against Pakistan on the Samba and Kathua terror attacks. As soon as the House met for the day, BJP MLAs raised 'anti-Pakistan' slogans in the well of the House. The National Conference members, amid shouting against the government, asked the Speaker to adjourn the House on the issue. The Speaker told the protesting members that the House had vehemently condemned the attacks. However, not satisfied with the Chair's reply, the NC legislators walked out of the House. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed speaking in the House said ''if Pakistan want to have friendship with India, it has to control the militancy.'' Mr Sayeed also said 'the attacks are attempts to derail the peace process.' The members demanded that the House should pass a unanimous resolution against 'Pakistan Sponsored' attacks. Thereafter,the Assembly passed the resolution and asked the Government of India to take up the matter with Pakistan. |
