DFP's special outreach programme in J&K concludes

Jammu, Mar 27 : Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan launched by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of I&B, Govt. of India, throughout the state of Jammu and Kashmir concluded. The event was chaired by Obaidur Rahman, Additional Director General, PIB whereas all the field functionaries of DFP, J&K.
On the occasion, DFP J & K Region has launched an intensive awareness campaign on Special outreach Programmes in various districts of J&K state whereas an intensive awareness campaign on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao theme was launched in five critically identified districts of J & K state where female sex ratio in comparison of male sex ratio is declining on an alarming rate.
Welcoming the field functionaries of DFP Gulshan Raina, Programme Head, DFP J & K highlighted the importance of such awareness programmes to fulfill the dreams of golden India and urged upon the field staff of DFP to act as ambassadors in disseminating the awareness and information of these important programme in each and every nook and corner of the State. He further briefed the participants of the programme about the implications of female feticide, female infanticide and other major aspects and objectives of the BBBP programme.
He further said that time has come when each and every citizen of the country needs to be made aware of such programmes especially those living in rural and semi urban areas. It is the duty of educated and civilized society to create greater awareness among the masses for achieving the desired goals of BBBP Programme he added. Obaidur Rehman, Additional Director General, PIB while interacting with field staff of DFP appreciated the efforts made by DFP in making the rural masses aware about various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes launched by Govt. of India from time to time for the welfare of the society in general and rural populace in particular. He advised DFP to organize more such awareness programmes in coordination with other Media units and concerned departments of the State Government.
At the end of the programme, all the field functionaries of DFP J&K region who actively participated in organizing these awareness campaigns in the state were honored with mementoes by the Chief Guest for their dedications and hard work in making both the awareness campaigns successful and result oriented. Later Shri Ram Krishan, Administrative Officer, DFP J&K presented vote of thanks to all the field staff of DFP for their participation in the valedictory function.
