Reasi, Mar 27 : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi-Sushma Chauhan flagged off awareness express of social welfare department from mini secretariat here today.
According to press release, Program officer ICDS Project-Nawab Din, ACR Reasi-Abdul Sartar, DSWO-Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, CDPO Reasi-Pritam Thappa and other sectoral officers were also present on the occasion.
DSWO Reasi informed that the express in next thirty days would move across the district to spread awareness among the masses about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Apart from awareness, the information on the schemes and assistances being provided to the students of underprivileged class, socially and economically backward classes, differently disabled persons and widows under different state as well as centrally sponsored schemes will be passed on.
DC Reasi while speaking on the occasion appreciated the role of Social Welfare department for organising such events and making people aware about various welfare schemes. She called upon the department to organise such more Awareness cum Schemes Chann-elization camps in the different particular in remote areas of Reasi for optimizing the growth & development potential of the deprived sections of the society. |
