Jammu, Mar 28: The Division of Fruit Science, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized one day training cum awareness programme on28th of March, 2015 at Sarore, Jammu under Mission for Integrated Development in Horticulture (MIDH) project on "Training and demonstration of rejuvenation technology on old and unproductive orchards in Jammu province".
Dr. DeepJi Bhat briefed the participants about the importance of cultural practices and pruning of guava trees under Jammu subtropics. He discussed about the crop regulation of guava so as to get good quality fruit. The training programme was highly appreciated by the farmers and they requested for more such type of trainings in the near future. The other officials of university present were BN Singh (JTA), Pradeep Gupta, Anil Chibber, Vinay Vilas, Ajitpal Singh and Rafiq Ahmed. |
