JAMMU, Mar 28 : Jammu South shall be playing against Jammu West in the title clash of the 12th Bhai Gurbaksh Singh State Korfball Championship, organised by J&K Korfball Association at Green Field ground, here tomorrow at 5 pm. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, Jammu South trounced district Pulwama 15-05 (ht 08-02). In the first semi-final Jammu South bet Pulwama by 15-5 half time score was 8-2 in favour of Jammu Jatinderpal was top scorer from winning side with four goals while Shweta, Sonia and Rashmi contributed three goals each. From Pulwama, Tariq and Gulzar were main scorers with three and two goals respectively. In the second semifinal, Jammu West defeated Shopian district 09-03 (ht 06-01). From Jammu West, Dikshah and Abhishek scored three goals each while Anshu contributed two. Sahil and Majid made two and one goal respectively from Shopian.
Meanwhile, in the hardliner, again scheduled for tomorrow, Pulwama shall compete against distirct Shopian .
Earlier, in the preliminary round of the competition, Srinagar beat Baramulla 07-0; Pulwama district beat Badgam district 15-10 (ht 10-06); Kathua beat Rajouri 05-03 (ht 3-1); Gandarbal beat Anantnag 3-2; Samba beat Udhampur 18-09 (ht 8-4); Shopian district beat Kathua by 7-3; Pulwama beat Gandarbal by 8-4; Jammu West beat Samba 11-6 (ht 5-3). |
