Kohli reviews developmental projects at Kalakote | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 23: Minister of State for Transport, Rural Development & Horticulture, Abdul Ghani Kohli chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to review the major projects of district Rajouri and ongoing developmental works in Kalakote. The Minister took a detailed review of performance of various departments and targets achieved under various schemes like SGSY, IAY, RMSA, SSA and MGNREGA. The Minister also reviewed ongoing works of new hospital complex at Kheora,Rajouri, 100 bedded additional block at SDH Nowshera, 50 bedded additional block at SDH Sunderbani, CHC Darhall and CHC building at Teryath and directed the concerned authorities to ensure expeditious completion of the works. Reiterating the need of pragmatic approach for holistic development, the Minister directed the officers to put strenuous efforts for streamlining the service delivery mechanism to provide hassle free services to the people. The Minister directed the line departments to ensure better coordination for accelerating the speed of ongoing developmental works without any compromise with the quality of work while assuring that all efforts will be made to provide better amenities to the people. The Minister also reviewed the functioning of SRTC directed the concerted to ply SRTC buses on Jammu to Mogla,Mogla to Tarado route and from Tarado to Khwas route. Earlier, DDC Rajouri,Deepti Uppal apprised the chair about the progress achieved in various developmental projects of district Rajouri Later on, the Minister convened a public grievance redressal camp at Dhangri wherein the people of the area put forth various demands pertaining to early completion of roads, upgradation of schools, electrification of left out areas. Responding to the demands, Kohli said that he is well versed with the problem being faced by the people and assured that all efforts are being made to mitigate these in a phased manner. He directed the officers to ensure proper monitoring to provide better amenities to the people and timely redressal of their problems. Among others, RTO, SDM Nowshera, SDM Kalakote, CPO, ARTO, and other senior officers were also present in the meeting. |
