Kashmir Steel Warriors continue winning spree in PPCPL | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 24: Kashmir Steel Warriors continued their winning spree after they outplayed Royal Choice by three wickets in the ongoing Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today. Earlier, Jammu Royal Choice won the toss and scored 130 runs for eight wickets. Punkaj Lada scored 37 runs and Rohit Bhat added 28 runs. Raza took three wickets while Abid Nabi and Prashant bagged one each from Jammu Royal Choice. In reply, Kashmir Steel Warriors attained the goal losing seven wickets. From Jammu Royal Choice, Anku took three wickets. Raza was named man of the match. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Banihal Knight Riders defeated J&K Police Tigers by four wickets. The JKP Tigers won the toss and decided to bat first. JKP Tigers scored only 45 runs in 12.1 overs, which, in reply, Banihal Knight Riders chased in just 6.1 overs. Umer Alam of Banihal Night Riders was declared man of match. Managing Director of Police Housing Corporation, Dilbag Singh was the chief guest while DIG, Shakeel Beig was guest of honour. Dilbag Singh gave away man of the match and other individual prizes to outstanding cricketers. FIXTURE: Samula Superstar shall take on Banihal Night Riders and Jammu Khalsa shall face Chenab Tigers tomorrow. |
