2 drug peddlers arrested with contraband | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 24: Kishtwar Police today arrested two Charas smugglers and recovered Charas weighing 800 grams from their possession. While talking to "Early Times", SP Kishtwar Yougal Manhas confirmed that Police had apprehended two persons namely Ravi Kumar son of Rakesh Kumar and Jeet Kumar son of Swami Raj, both resident of AnjnaPullar in Kishtwar District. He said that a regular Naka of Police stationed at HidyalChowk today noticed movement of above two persons in suspicious circumstances while crossing the Naka at HidyalChowk. Upon this police party led by PSI ZaheerIqbal detained both the suspected person. During search, Ravi Kumar and Jeet Kumar were found in possession of 400 gms of contraband each. The two were on their way to Kishtwar and then to Jammu to sell the Narcotics. The District Police has launched a special drive against narcotic smugglers. A case FIR No.62/2015 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at P/S Kishtwar against both the accused and investigation has been initiated to find out the smuggling module. The recovery was made by the Police party lead by PSI ZaheerIqbal and Inspector Sameer Jallani, SHO P/S Kishtwar under the supervision of Nazir Ahmed Ganai-DySPHqrs, Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom-KPS, Addl. SP Kishtwar and Yougal Manhas, SP Kishtwar. |
