Panthak Morcha condemns separatists opposing return of migrants | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 24: Panthak Morcha President S. Gurcharan Singh demands honourable return of Kashmir Pandits, Sikhs and other Hindu migrants to the valley and condemned separatists opposing return. He further demanded grant of minority status to Pandits and Sikhs to secure their future at home in the valley. According to press release, in a statement today, S. Gurcharan Singh said during 1989-90 these Pak sponsored separatists and militants forced minorities in Kashmir to migrate outside to create greater Islamic state by ethnic cleansing thousands of residential houses, schools, bridges including business houses were destroyed besides encroachment of Hindus properties minorities were killed in hundreds throughout the valley and higher reaches of Jammu region. The massacre of Pandits, Sikhs, other Hindus and nationalist Muslim became order of the day. The killings of 16 IAF officers on airport road 36 sikhs in Chattisingpors, Wandhama (23), Nandimarg (24) and score of other places are memories haunting the migrants. Gurcharan Singh said communal and separatist slogans often raised in the valley by Pak sponsored agents add salt to the wounds of minorities in the state. He urged stern action against the trouble shooters and full support to central and state government for this. He said that the centre was working in the right direction. |
