| PPCPL-T-20 : BKR, JKP-Tigers & Chenab Tigers emerge winners | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 27 : Banihal Knight Riders (BKR), Chenab Tigers, JKP-Tigers emerged winners in their respective matches by BCC Bulls, Jammu Royal Choice and Simula Superstars respectively in the matches played today during ongoing Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) T-20 Tournament, organised by J&K Police at GGM Science College Hostel Ground here today
Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rajeshwar Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his interaction with players, he appreciated the team spirit of the players and wished them success in the matches to come. Later Rajeshwar Singh also gave away the cash prizes and trophies to the winning teams and outstanding players.
According to official spokesperson, Banihal Knight Riders today registered empathic win of 41 runs against BCC Bulls in the first session while Chenab Tigers defeated Jammu Royal Choice by 09 wickets.
In the today matches, Banihal Knight Riders won the toss and set a target of 123 runs at the loss of 08 wickets. In reply BCC Bulls who continuously remained undefeated in every league matches failed to repeat the same feat and lost the match by 41 runs. Sajad Ahmed of Banihal Knight Riders made 40 runs and Asif 37 runs. Sajad Ahmed of Banihal Knight Riders was declared as Man of the Match.
In the 2nd Session of event, Jammu Royal Choice after winning the toss selected to bat and set a target of 113 runs at the loss of 07 wickets. In reply Chenab Tigers chased the target and registered an easy win by defeated rivals by 09 wickets. Ishtiaq Rasool made highest score of 48 runs and Adil Rishi scored 41 runs and also took one wicket and hence Adil Rishi was declared Man of the Match.
Meantime in another session Jammu, JKP Tigers won the toss and set a target of 152 runs at the loss of 06 wickets. In reply Simula Superstars failed to chase the target and lost the match by 15 runs. Jatin of JKP Tigers made highest score of 43, Jahangir Lone 35 and Ishtiaq 29 runs while Jatin was declared man of the match. Hilal, Rather, Sameer, and Kuldip of Simula Superstars took one wickets each, whereas Rajesh Gill of JKP Tigers took two wickets and Ishtiaq, Shamsher and Ashraf one each.
First Quarter final of PPCPL shall be played between Chenab Tigers v/s Chenab Gas Royal at10.00 am and second between Banihal Knight Riders v/s Simula Superstars at 2.00pm. |
