IGP Jammu for strengthen anti infiltration grid across Jammu

Jammu, Apr 27: In a bid to set a road map for better policing in Jammu region, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu, Danish Rana, today chaired a meeting of all SPs/SDPOs/SHOs/I/C PPs of District Jammu in which he exhorted ensure effective security grid in the District and to strengthen the working of Nakas to make all efforts to strengthen anti infiltration grid in their respective areas of responsibility
During the meeting, the IGP Jammu accompanied with SSP Jammu Uttam Chand briefed the officers to ensure effective security grid in the District and to strengthen the working of Nakas to make all efforts to strengthen anti infiltration grid in their respective areas of responsibility.
He exhorted upon all the Police Officers to prevent abuse of drugs in the society and said bovine smugglers need to be dealt with strictly under law. IGP Jammu said that there should not be any involvement of the Police Officers in hobnobbing with land grabbers, any such complaint in this regard will be dealt with very strictly. He further briefed the officers to keep hawks eye on embezzlement to prevent corruption in the society.
IGP Jammu exhorted upon the Police Officers to be very effective in response to the complaints of the public. He emphasized upon to activate the visitor's room in their respective Police Stations and also underlined that cases registered at Police stations need to be investigated with utmost professionalism and disposal needs to be done on merits in stipulated time, so that the aggrieved persons get timely justice . During the meeting, IGP Jammu also stressed on cleanliness and maintenance of the Police Station premises as a mission towards 'Swach Police Abiyaan and to effectively maintain the records of the Police Stations, to ensure effective beat policing and for timely disposal of processes.
He also asked all the officers to chalk out strategies to prevent burglaries and chain snatching in their respective areas. In his concluding remarks, IGP Jammu informed all the officers that their day to day performance will be observed minutely.
Among others present in the meeting were SP Rural Rajeev pandey, SP Hqrs. S Randheer Singh, SP City North Shiv Kumar Chouhan.
