Young Panthers burn effigy of Deputy CM | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 28: Young Panthers today held a demonstration at Gandhi Nagar near Gole Market and burnt the effigy of Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh in protest against his statement that nobody can snatch 'AIIMS from Kashmir' and that AIIMS has been sanctioned for Kashmir. According to press release, the activists raised anti-government, anti-BJP and anti-Nirmal Singh slogans seeking the apology of Deputy Chief Minister for making anti-Jammu statement and for his highly intriguing and mischievous statement thereby creating a lot of resentment in the Jammu region. Addressing the Panthers activists, Yashpal Kundal State President, Young Panthers said that it is a University known fact now that AIIMS was sanctioned for Jammu but the state government played a mischief and transferred it to Kashmir. They said that even the Union MOS in PM's office clarified in his Kathua meeting that AIIMS was approved for Jammu in view of repeated demands of public as well as the necessity of a Premier Health Institute in Jammu region. They further said that BJP which was surrendering on all issues to PDP had given the Jammuites the biggest setup with the Dy. Chief Minister advocating the cause of Kashmir at the cost of Jammu. Gagan Pratap Singh Spokesman Young Panthers said that BJP must come clean on the issue of AIIMS as its leaders were making contradictory statements only to distract the public attention and escape the public fury.
