| HC vacates stay on teachers list of Jammu province | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Apr 28: The J&K High Court on Tuesday vacated the stay on selection list of teachers of all the eight districts of Jammu province.
Justice Tabish Rabistan ordered vacating of stay that was imposed by the High Court last year. He also directed the Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) to proceed with the selection process and upheld the procedure adopted by the latter in
selecting the candidates.
Justice Rabistan rejected the plea of the petitioners counsel that the selection list was finalized in violation of rules and regulations.
Advocates Abhinav Sharma, N D Qazi, B S Manhas and others appeared on behalf of the petitioners while Advocate General Sunil Sethi and others appeared for respondent state.
Meanwhile, the petitioners while talking to Early Times said that they will appeal against the decision of the single bench. |
