Transfer policy in JK should be on performance basis: Saroori | | | Early Times Report doda, Apr 28: A rousing reception was today given to the Congress MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, on his first visit to Thathri, district Doda after become Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC). While addressing the gathering, Saroori said that the party should have a distinctive identity at the grassroots level to make it the party of the future in Jammu and Kashmir. Saroori also said that Congress party will soon setup and strengthen organisational structure up to booth level, in order to strengthen the party at the grass roots. He advised the party leaders, Workers and Members to remain in touch with the people and strengthen the party at grass root level by taking the people on board. He assured Congress party worker that he along with central and state leadership of Congress will fight neck to neck with them for the welfare of the people of state. Reacting strongly on the recent transfers made by government Saroori suggested the Chief Minister of J&K that the transfer policy in Jammu and Kashmir should be on the basis of performance rather than giving emphasis on a particular community. The government should make the balance of both the communities and the focus should be on development and said not to play the dirty politics for pity benefits out of it. |
