Administration silent on 'issue of farmers' in Billawer: Basotra 4/28/2015 11:20:20 PM Jammu, Apr 28: Expressing concerns over the issues of farmers, Pankaj Basotra Lok Sabha president Youth Congress Kathua Udhampur Doda, said that the farmers of our Billawar segment waiting for survey of crop losses in previous rains but no action taken by administration on ground. After conducting a tour to Billawer assembly to take stock of problems of farmer, the Youth Congress leader said the recent rains have destroyed standing crops of farmers but no one have some to assess their loss. He said the district administration has failed to compensate most of affected people in Billawar who depend on agriculture. Basotra also appealed to the Deputy Chief Minister who also is elected from said area to raise the voice in favour of the farmers. Demanding due compensation to farmers, he said the farmers should be compensated at earliest otherwise Congress (Youth) activists shall launch a panchayat wise protest against the government for its alleged anti Kissan policy.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
