Petitions challenging selection of general line teachers for Ramban, Kishtwar and Otrs | | | Jammu, Apr 28: First Puisine Judge of the State High Court Justice Mohammed Yaqoob Mir today dismissed several writ petitions challenging the selection of teachers for Districts Ramban, Kishtwar Jammu Rajouri and others thereby vacating the interim directions thus paving way for the appointment of newly selected General Line Teachers. After hearing a battery of advocates M A Bhat, Abhinav Sharma B R Manhas, N D Qazi, C S Azad for the petitioners whereas Advocate General R A Jan with Advocate K M Bhatti for SSRB and Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi and others for private respondents/selected candidates Justice Mohammed Yaqoob Mir in approved for reporting judgments observed that the petitioners have participated in the written test and some of them have participated in the interview. While rejecting the arguments, the court observed that the respondents in the reply have totally refuted the allegations which are imaginary and far from truth and Advocate Irfaan Khan appearing for private respondents submitted that such allegations have been leveled by the petitioners only to cover their failure. After referring several judgments of the Apex Court particularly Madan Lal & Ors v/s State of J&K & Ors, Justice Mohammed Yaqoob Mir dismissed the bunch of petitions being devoid of merit and vacated the interim directions.
