Discuss various developmental issues | Dy CM led JK ministers meet PM | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 28: A group of J&K Ministers led by the Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh met the prime Minister on Tuesday and discussed developmental issues. The group comprised Minister for Rural Development Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for PHE, I&FC, Sukhnandan Kumar, Minister for Finance Dr Haseeb A. Drabu visited New Delhi and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprised him of various developmental issues of the state. The group also put forth major demands before the Prime Minister which include, a special package for rehabilitation of flood victims , special package for one time settlement of refugees , supply of ration on the pattern of no profit no loss policy be provided and released to meet the requirement of people of J&K as per the 2011 census and sufficient funds for the speedy execution of ongoing development projects. The Prime Minister patiently heard the various demands raised by the group of ministers and assured that all their genuine issues will be looked in to. Later Dr. Nirmal Singh also met with the Minister of roads and surface transportation Nitin Gadkari and put up a list of 15 road projects for the construction in the state which mainly include, widening and construction of Dyala chack to challiyan road , construction of express way linking to world famous shrines like Vaishno devi and Swarn Mandir Amritsar and request was also made to upgrade lakhanpur to Basohli link road. Agreeing to the demands, Gadkari promised to take up the Dyalachack to Chhallan 25km road stretch and express way project at the earliest. |
