| 2 die, two injured in separate road mishaps | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 2: Two persons were killed while received injuries in separate road mishaps at different places. Police have arrested the one person driver of the winger which collided with motorcycle resulting into death of one person.
Police sources said that a man was killed while his daughter and granddaughter received injuries in a head on collision between a motorcycle and a winger at village Tinde Kalan falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib Police station.
The deceased has been identified as Mohinder Singh while his injured daughter has been identified as Ravinder Kour and granddaughter as Simranjeet Kour.
Police said that accident took place today in the morning when a winger carrying school teacher of border belt was on way had a head on collision with a motorcycle at village Tinde Kalan resulting critical injuries to motorcycle borne riders and on the spot death of the driver. Police shifted the injured to the hospital and the body of the deceased after autopsy was handed over to family members for last rites.
Police have arrested the driver of the winger who has been identified as Avatar Singh and seized the winger.
Meanwhile, in another road mishap at Digyana a youth identified as Vikram Mahajan (25) son of Vijay Mahajan of Nanak Nagar lost his life.
Police sources said that the scooty he was riding on was rammed by an over-speeded tipper.
Police have registered both the cases and started investigation.
