| Minor raped, rapist held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 2: A seven year-old girl hailing from Nepal was allegedly raped a local youth at village Sajjalpur falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station. Further investigations in the case are on.
"The accused has been identified namely as local youth identified as Sohan Lal alias Sonu, police sources said.
They said that a minor girl presently staying at Sujjalpur Domana with her parents who are working at a poultry farm was abducted by the accused who later committed rape upon her. Police sources quoting the parents of victim said, "the accused got a chance to pounce upon the little girl when her parents have gone to buy some house hold items."
"They (aggrieved parents) said that the youth escaped away after committing the crime leaving behind the girl who managed to reach to her family and then narrated the whole story, police sources said.
Later, the family members of the victim took her to Domana police station and reported the matter. Following a complaint, Police registered a case in this regard and also sent the victim for medical examination.
Meanwhile Inspector Rajinder Sharma, SHO Domana conducted raids at possible hideout of the accused and arrested the accused. |
