| Teacher orientation programme of NCSC organized | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 2 : K-Photon Science Club in collaboration with Himalyan Education Club organized Teacher orientation program of National Children Science congress at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar.
According to press release, the program was presided over by Subash Chander Sharma Zonal Education Officer Kishtwar whereas Mehboob Ahmed Qazi Master DIET Kishtwar was guest of honor and Dr. Ashaq Hussain Science communicator was the main resource person of the occasion.
Earlier in his welcome address Arshad Hussain Dev Coordinator K-Photon Science Club Kishtwar highlighted the need of science and scientific temperament in the present time among students, teachers and hence the common masses.
He also briefed the guide teachers about the concept of NCSC.
Dr. Ashiq Hussain in his address while throwing the light on the Theme and subthemes of NCSC - 2015 added that National Children Science Congress is targeted to spread the concept of the method of science among the children through their project activities adopting the principle of 'Learning through doing 'across India since 1993 but we are far behind in this mega event as compared to other states of India.
He said that this program is Catalyzed and supported by National Council for Science and Technological Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and is implemented by different government and non government organizations across India.
He further added that the mandate of the NCSC is that the children are expected to carry out projects related to the focal theme and the identified sub-themes where in the students in the age group of 10-17 are expected to participate. |
