| Gyan Setu workshop conducted for ZEOs, CRPs of Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 3: In order to inculcate the Gyan Setu project in the grass root level of education, a special workshop for all the Zonal Education Officers, Volunteers, Zonal and Cluster Resource Persons in education department of Rajouri district organised today which was supervised over by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Deepti Uppal. Participants enthusiastically participated in all the activities and were given inputs regarding the innovative ways in which science education could be made interesting for school children.
Local youth from PG college, Himalayan college and other educated people who are willingly contributing in this initiative were also present in large numbers. Deputy Commissioner Miss Uppal, who was heading the session said, "This has to be taken up in a missionary zeal by youth and the staff members". She congratulated and thanked member of Project Gyan Setu, including Mohmmed Jafar, Parag Paithankar and Vidhyadhar Bartakke, who travelled to Rajouri all the way from Pune and Hyderabad on their own expense to teach science. "This project is not just about the science but it's about creating interest in the children towards overall education, I expect the high level of commitment from all of you" said Uppal.
"For learning science we must have discussions, debates and a lot of questioning and counter questioning about the scientific facts." said Mayur Khaire, PMRDF( Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellow) Rajouri who is in charge of project. |
