JKEEGA calls on DyCM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 3 : A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates' Association (JKEEGA) met Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh who is also holding the portfolio of Power Minister on May 2 at his residence. The delegation was led by President JKEEGA Daulat Ram Bhaghat, submitted charter of demands to Dr. Nirmal Singh regarding various long pending demands of the Association. The Association expressed serious concern over major issue of non-regularization and its demoralizing effect on the fraternity members at all levels. Association also expressed that process of regularization/confirmation at various levels of engineers may be expedited. They also raised the issue of the problems being faced by electric engineers post electrical mishaps and subsequent harassment met by the officers during the course of investigation by the police department. The issues of enhancement of the Field Travelling Allowance was also discussed threadbare in favour of JEs, Association pleaded that the case be taken up with the Finance Department to raise it immediately. Filling of vacant posts of Engineers from Chief Engineer to Junior Engineer level was also discussed threadbare. The Deputy Chief Minister gave patient hearing to all the issues and assured for calling a joint meeting with the administrative secretary at Srinagar so that these issues could be resolved at an earliest. |
